Day 1 - First Stop

First stop was for lunch and we happened to end up at the Spoon River Rest Stop.  The rest stop is very nice as far as rest stops are concerned.  Excellent landscaping, flower beds, covered picnic shelters, and a nice playground.

We had a nice picnic lunch here.

  However, be warned.  The outside is just a trap to lure unsuspecting motorists inside where you will be killed or at least made very sick as evidenced by this:

I apologize for the blurriness, had to take the picture on the move stealthily as it is uncool to be taking pictures in a bathroom.   Talking to staff there, it has been two weeks since the water was drinkable.  ugh.
